SUNNYSLOPE WINE REGION (Day 3 - part 4)
We began the drive back out the canyon.
A brief side stop to enjoy the view
Towers lined the ridge, continuing to carry power away from the dam.
Upon leaving the canyon, we eventually returned to Idaho and this time headed for local wine country, called the Sunnyslope Wine Trail (with 16 wineries and vineyards).
Our first stop was at Ste. Chapelle. Founded in 1975 in Emmett (near the Black Canyon from our flight), it was moved here in 1978. It has since grown to become the largest winery in Idaho.
The building was inspired by Sainte-Chapelle, the Gothic chapel in Paris, France.
We selected two flights and also had a couple incredibly delicious wine cocktails (watermelon with Pino Noir, and bluberry with Muscat).

We were hoping to end the day with one more winery, but they all seemed to close at 5 pm... except for one down the street which was open for another hour. Fujishin winery was a hidden gem... unbelievably friendly and absolutely scrumptious!
Founded in 2009, they focused on lesser-known varieties. In 2014, they bought this place... The Old Shed... which used to be a fruit business.
All were incredible and tended to be on the sweeter side! Unfortunately I got so enthralled with the tasting that I completely forgot to take any photos! We ended up buying two bottles to take home.
