HALONG BAY (Day 30)

After a hotel breakfast, we caught the bus back down to the dock where we boarded a different boat. By a bit after 8 am, we were underway... weaving our way through the numerous small islands.

A floating village

Back on land, we boarded a bus and began the long drive back.

The land looked just like the bay... but without the water. Limestone karsts jutted up from the rice fields.

The cemeteries looked just like dog-sized cities. Supposedly they dig up the bodies after two years, They clean and move the bones to another box.

Back in Hanoi, the city traffic swarmed everywhere. We were dropped off at some random street since it was too busy to bring us back to our hotel. We walked several blocks and fortunately found it.
