TRAVEL (Day 9)

Rain drenched the local marketplace. But that was fine since we were leaving.

We caught a taxi to the airport, but learned that we were only allowed to check-in as far as Casablanca. We'd have to check-in again there for the rest of our flight home. The woman at the check-in desk allowed us to carry all our luggage but on the bus to the plane, they decided to take our duffelbag. They said we could pick it up in Casablanca. At Casablanca, however, we weren't allowed to go past passport control in order to get said luggage or to check-in again. Furthermore, we had no boarding card so couldn't get on our plane... hence eternally trapped in the airport.

Finally we found someone who could check us in (but only as far as Frankfurt) and would have our luggage picked up for us. As suspected, our luggage was not waiting for us in Frankfurt, but after much difficulty, they finally tracked it... still in Marrakesh. Since there was nothing we could do, we continued our journey home. Amazingly enough, our luggage eventually did find us, unscathed in any way.
