SAN DIEGO SAFARI (Day 6 - part 7)

Yellow-billed Stork and Egyptian Goose ... Demoiselle Crane

A large area with several different animals (the red arrows are gerenuks; the yellow is a hornbill)

Southern Gerenuk

This tiny gerenuk was resting peacefully ... until a female hornbill (of nearly the same size!) wandered past.

The tension for the gerenuk mounts ... but the hornbill wanders off...

... and the gerenuk relaxes once again.

Lappet-faced Vultures

An Addra Gazelle (left, background) and several Addax

We decided to take the tram ride again since it had been so enjoyable. Again we passed by the lions...

Again, waaaaay too interested in people

A passing vehicle also catches their highly focused attention.

Aboard the tram again for another round...

Passing the lions from the outside

On the tram ... Greater Flamingos

The rhino enclosure

A vulture has moved closer to the fake carcass.

It's a Ruppell's Vulture this time.

Soemmerring's Gazelles
