In this portion of the mall, painted ceilings and purple lights gave the illusion of permanent twilight.
Shops ... A column bench
The Fountain of the Gods. Over 240 million gallons of water are used per year in the various fountains. Remember, we're in the middle of a desert.

I eventually reached the far end of the mall... the Atlantis fountain. Unfortunately the spectacular show was not being offered today.
The fountain stage ... An aquarium
Heading back...
In the center of Fortuna Terrace stood a 25-foot-tall statue of Fortuna, the goddess of fortune, chance and prosperity. Very appropriate for a casino.
Around her was a fresco of people looking down from a balcony.

Back at the Fountain of the Gods ... and the column bench
Back outside, I wandered over to the hotel/casino. The real sky wasn't nearly as pretty!
A replica of Michelangelo's David ... and Antonio Canova's Venus Italica. The original sculpture was commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802. It was intended to be a replacement for another Venus statue he had seized and taken to France. After his abdication, the other statue was returned to Florence in 1815.
Another copy of the Prima Porta Augustus (although this time sans hockey stick)
