DRIVE (Day 1 - part 3)

We got back on the road and continued our long drive.

Driving through the Swell

Looking back

The rest of the drive involved rain storms interspersed with beautiful skies.

Another big storm

It was pouring heavily when we arrived at The Creamery in Beaver. The cheese plant was built in 1952. The dairy comes from local family-owned farms and the specialty cheeses are made fresh.

Cheese curds (sometimes called "squeaky cheese") are moist pieces of curdled milk. They can be eaten straight or used in dishes.

I got the Mac 'N Cheese, with pepper jack, Monterey jack and sharp cheddar, topped with tomato, spinach and toasted breadcrumbs. Yum!
