BUS TOUR & MUSEUMS (Day 5 - part 7)


As well as beautiful, Mardi Gras decorations can also be very comical.

We returned to the hotel for a bit to escape the heat. As always, the river provided plenty of entertainment.


Now that we'd spent some time in the city, we began to recognize more and more things such as the Cape Kennedy and Cape Knox ... and the metal sculptures of the Riverfront Park.

A local tv channel offered interesting and beautiful videos of the area...

We then headed out for some dinner. I was able to try some delicious vegetarian jambalaya. Thanks to our super generous waitress, we had bottomless Arnold Palmers... including being given one for the road!


Interestsingly, the rice is never fully cooked. In every meal it is always served al dente.
