YOSEMITE & MONO LAKE (Day 9 - part 7)
We left Mono Lake and began the drive south on the 395 down to Death Valley.
There were many amusing roadside clean-up signs with names such as Just Bill, Butterflies and Rainbows, and this one.

Descending into the Panamint Valley
We spent the night in Panamint Sprints. Originally we were just going to get a camping spot but we decided to upgrade to one of their tent cabins. It was a wise decision.

A lovely hot shower
The evening was nice and warm but cooled quickly once the sun set. The stars were sensational and we fell asleep to the sounds of howling coyotes. The wind picked up in the middle of the night, shaking the tent cabin violently. We were grateful to be inside it instead of our own little camping tent though.
