CALIFORNIA (Day 5)

On the agenda today was a softball game in the afternoon and a high school graduation party in evening.

We arrived at the Deanna Manning Stadium in Irvine around noon. It was already QUITE hot. It was unfortunately a rather painful defeat for our team... 0 to 12.

Uh... ok... so what's with the totally bizarre seating numbers?!

The game begins!

We headed home and began to set up for the party. Graduation was technically still a few days away, but why put off until tomorrow what you can celebrate today! The weather was nice and cooperative... as it usually is in Southern California... a warm sun with a cool breeze. About 30 people gathered, mingled, ate, drank and had much merriment. Everything was soooo delicious, it was hard to know where to begin... and when to stop!

The obligatory embarrassing photo session

Eventually people drifted away, so we cleaned up and called it a day. Since it was a full house with other family also visiting, I got to sleep in the gym room. It wasn't elegant but definitely comfy... and I even had my own bathroom with shower!
